Event Description

On November 4th we are planning to host a workshop at UCL concerning the mission concept "THESIS", now submitted to NASA, with the intention of submitting a similar proposal to ESA at the next call for proposals for medium size missions in 2010.

Thesis is a 1.4 m space telescope with NIR and MIR spectrographs, expected to characterise spectroscopically the atmospheres of giant and terrestrial exoplanets transiting their parent star (or with the combined light technique). Thesis can characterise also planets in the habitable zone of later type stars.
